Darla and Clancy Colweiss are cool, fashionable, and contemporary. They wear the right clothes, strive to know the right people, and are already several slippery rungs up the gold-plated ladder to their economic and social nirvana.

But sometimes grandiose dreams and outrageous plans don’t come true. Living for tomorrow in New York City can cost you today. “Paycheck to paycheck” survival takes its toll and bankruptcy can be the inevitable conclusion.

When the Bank foreclosed on their New York Co-op, Clancy and Darla were thrown a lifeline of sorts. It happened when Clancy’s dear grandfather, Elliott Colweiss, a decorated World War II veteran is severely injured. In order to monitor his hospital progress, the soon to be homeless Clancy and Darla relocate to Grandpa Elliott’s place, a lakeside cabin, in upstate New York.

Settling into this new world Darla, Clancy and the hospitalized Grandpa Elliott are dealt a major blow. An incident that happened on the Colweiss property almost 30 years ago is uncovered!

A recently discovered decomposed body buried deep beneath the cabin’s pilings dates to the horrors of Nazi Germany. Clancy’s seemingly kind and gentle Grandpa Elliott may have been a murderer!

The court trial could cost Grandpa Elliott his freedom. Elliott denies the murder, but the evidence speaks differently.

A venerable army veteran, his family and their future await their fate.
