Under One Roof
Holly Burton, fortyish, attractive and personable is now single. She has three children that live with her in her somewhat worn 1920’s Hollywood Hills Spanish Bungalow. Daphne, 23 the “love child” of a Berkeley graduation weekend, Vlad, 14, a Romanian adoptee, a perpetual and brilliant techno-texter and Emily 12, her rational, yet classically romantic daughter.
There are two ex-husbands, Dan, (Vlad and Emily’s father), an employment challenged ex-jock and Richard, (Daphne’s recently reconnected father), still an 80’s retro hippie type. Both ex-husbands are marginally tolerable, especially to each other. They both share a smoldering flame for a still alluring Holly that keeps them visiting too often.
Now add Nathan, a good looking, athletic, almost thirty something, recently licensed architect, who rents a room, works from his new home and readily helps out around the house, much to the continual dismay of former husbands Dan and Richard.
The typical American family?
Maybe… maybe not, but they are living UNDER ONE ROOF.
